Chabad of Greater Somerset County (Basking Ridge) - Friday evening services at 6:30 pm in the autumn/winter and 7:30 pm in the spring/summer. Services last approximately 1 hour. On the 1st Friday of every month, services are followed with an Oneg Shabbat, with home-made challah, chicken-matzah ball soup, and camaraderie! Also on 1st Fridays Youth Services begin at 5:30 pm in the autumn/winter seasons, and 6:30 pm in spring/summer. Shabbat Morning services from 9:30 am until shortly after noon, and a Kiddush luncheon follows services. We run a traditional service, with readings in Hebrew (our Prayerbook has a contemporary English translation). Prior knowledge isn't assumed, and a typical group includes people who presently have little Jewish connection. Our cantor's rich voice, and our rabbi’s inspiring "talks," enable us to unplug from life's static and connect with our deeper selves.
